Wine character
Tomero Single Vineyard Malbec is a carefully selected red wine from a single vineyard in Mendoza’s renowned Uco Valley. Thanks to the higher-altitude vineyards, it combines the rich fruitiness typical of Malbec with fresh, vibrant acidity. Its deep purple color immediately suggests concentration and seriousness.
On the nose, intense dark berries – blackberry, blueberry and black cherry – come to the fore, supported by gentle spiciness and elegant oak notes. Vanilla, milk chocolate and discreet toasted aromas blend harmoniously with the fruit character without overpowering it.
Flavour profile and style
On the palate, the wine is full, rich and well structured. Velvety tannins create a round mouthfeel, while balanced acidity keeps the wine fresh. Dark berry flavors are clearly present, joined by subtle cocoa, vanilla and spicy notes. The finish is long and slowly fading, leaving a lasting impression.
This style is especially appealing for those who enjoy characterful yet not overly heavy Malbecs, with plenty of fruit and refined oak influence. The Single Vineyard origin is evident in the wine’s pure, focused aromas and precise structure.
Food pairing
Tomero Single Vineyard Malbec is an excellent partner for beef and lamb dishes, especially grilled or pan-seared steak. It pairs well with flavorful but not overly hot meat dishes, smoked or cured meats, and rich, creamy sauces. It also works beautifully with aged, hard cheeses such as Parmesan-style or matured sheep’s cheeses.
For optimal enjoyment, serve at 60–64 °F (16–18 °C), where the structure and aromas show at their best. Brief aeration after opening can further soften the tannins and highlight the wine’s fruit character.
Occasions
This Malbec is well suited to festive occasions, relaxed dinners with friends or slow, conversational evenings. Thanks to its complexity, it can be enjoyed on its own as a contemplative wine, while also being a reliable choice when you want a distinctive Argentine red to accompany hearty dishes.
